@02:21Mediocre definitely not, but you should only be putting in your most awesome work evar in ;) Think of it this way imagine that your animation legend was in town and you only had a minute and a half or less to impress them. What would you put in? Factor in everything and only out your best foot forwards, try and be objective and look at things like the principles of animation, design and formal elements of art to make your mind up. I know it is hard to choose what to cut as anything you have created is like your children x) but you need to decide which our your absolute strongest and favourite animations. Eitherway your work is fantastic and I look forward to seeing the new reel ^^

@00:44Thanks. I didn't have really any choice on what I worked on professionally. I just happened to work on a lot of sheep. I've used toonboom as well and have done traditional as well. But most of my work and best work is in Flash, so that's why I have a demo reel dedicated to it. Glad you liked it.

@02:21Very good animations but I've been told by those in the industry one should try and keep a reel to about a minute/minute and a half. 2 min 21 seconds is abit too long. So if you're submitting this to places just keep that in mind you may want to choose only the best and most specific work (to the place you are applying) to send to them.

@02:21That is true and I do try to keep it down to a minimum. It's very difficult to choose, because I want to show variety and yet have my best stuff in there. I've gotten work in the industry based off this reel (College Humor, Mondo Media), so it has worked out but it is true what you say. That is why I try to put my best stuff right up front in that first minute, because usually they won't go past the first minute or so and if they do, then hey they get bonus material. That's how I look at it.

@02:21Keep in mind that you don't want them to get to the end of reel (perhaps your less good work) and end up basing their opinion of you off the feeling of "this was a little too long, it was good but just a little too long" It's like a book or a movie, yes you may like the writing or the film and it may have many good moments but rather leave it short and sweet to have them wanting more than feeling that you as an animator don't know how to choose your best work. I know it is tough but I promise you short and sweet is very important ;)

@02:21I didn't have that in mind, although I'd like to think I don't have any mediocre work that I threw in there. I am going to update it soon anyhow, as I have done 2 more DVDs, some pilot work, and several CH shorts since then. I will definitely keep shortening it down in mind, but now with all this NEW material, it's going to be SO hard to figure out what to put in!

@00:44This looks very sharp and dynamic (I don't share your love for sheep, but I respect it ;P).
Do you use any other software beyond flash?
